Ratings System

Reflective Imagery has been designed for mature people who understand and desire peaceful coexistence. The administration of Reflective Imagery are committed to ensuring the comfort and safety of every member of Reflective Imagery, regardless of age, circumstance or financial situation. An important part of this commitment is to be found in the form of the Venue Rating System, which shows at a glance, what kind of visual and written material is likely to be found within the pages of any particular venue. As you can see, Reflective Imagery has gone to great lengths to ensure that there are Venues available for every age and preference, however, Reflective Imagery is NOT suitable for children who are left unattended by guardians/parents at a computer. Reflective Imagery reserves the right to remove any child who is obviously left unattended, or who behaves in a way that leads us to believe he/she has been left unattended (Children under 13 are only admitted to Reflective Imagery IF they have a parent or guardian who is an active member of the site.)

There are 4 major classifications covering all content within Reflective Imagery Venues. These are as follows:

If you are an adult member of Reflective Imagery and would like to apply for a Venue for your child(ren) please contact an Administrator prior to your child(ren) applying for the Venue. 13+ and 13-17 may not have an open membership policy.

	This classification means that the venue is designed for the exclusive use of adult members. Members under the age of 18 years are not permitted to participate in the venue under any circumstances and applicants below 18 are refused by the software. 18+ venues are monitored by Venue owners very closely to ensure that the restriction is robust. Some venue owners may choose this rating to insure children are not a part of their venue rather than their reasoning to be intended “Adult content”. Please see the five defining areas below for more information.
	This classification means that the venue is intended to contain only material that is suitable for viewing by members of any age, and that the venue owner monitors the content on a daily basis, in an effort to ensure that there is nothing contained within the venue, which might offend any participant or viewer. The successful application of a 4All venue depends entirely on reflective Imagery’s judgment on the maturity of the Venue Applicant and the intended content. Reflective Imagery reserves the right to refuse any application that does not meet with the above criteria. Membership of 4-All Venues are at the discretion of the Venue Owner and they may change the rating and restrict membership to 18+ if they so choose, but they may not lower the rating of an 18+ venue once it has been established (please see 13+ and 13-17 rating for more information). Venue Owners are responsible for sub ratings and must also set the rating of their venue's individual boards appropriately. These settings are checked by RI administration.
	This classification means that the venue is designed for the use of members over 13 years of age. Members under 13 are not permitted to participate in the venue and applicants below 13 are refused by the software. 13+ venues are monitored closely to ensure that the restriction is robust. Venue Owners must agree to ensure that the above criteria is met and must demonstrate the level of maturity appropriate for 13+ before applications for a 13+ Venue is approved by Reflective Imagery. Venue Owners are responsible for sub ratings and must also set the rating of their venue's individual boards appropriately. These settings are checked by RI administration.
	This classification means that the venue is designed for the use of members on and between 13-17 years of age. Members under 13 are not permitted to participate in the venue. Members over 17 are not permitted to participate in the venue. Applicants below 13 and over 17 are refused by the software. 13-17 venues are monitored closely to ensure that the restriction is robust. Venue Owners must agree to ensure that the above criteria is met and must demonstrate the level of maturity appropriate for 13-17 year olds before applications for a 13-17 Venue is approved by Reflective Imagery. Venue Owners are responsible for sub ratings and must also set the rating of their venue's individual boards appropriately. These settings are checked by RI administration.

As well as the above classifications, there is a secondary system in place which is designed to give more specific and detailed information as to the nature of the materials to be found within the pages of a particular venue. The following ratings are determined and set by Venue Owners. These FIVE additional ratings apply on a 3 level classification to each of the 5 divisions as follows:
